The V page for Brenna's ABC Book!
journaling: Brenna loves to do crafts with her older sisters, so when the hearts and glue came out for making Valentines to take to school, of course Brenna had to make some too. The ones she made she said were for Grandmomma and Granddaddy. The mailman brought the kids their Valentines from Grandmomma and Granddaddy on Saturday, February 11. All of them were thrilled to find something with their name on it in the pile. Brenna loved her card with the seal on it so much that she carried it around with her for days.

journaling: The first place we stopped on our fall vacation was Mesa Verde National Park. I hadn’t been there since I was a kid, and it was fun to see it again. We all took the tour down to the ruins. The kids did very well with the climbing and hiking and followed instructions very well. They even asked the ranger some good questions about how the indians lived. We also enjoyed our first picnic out of the back of the van at one of the pullouts along the driving loop.

My good friend, Kristen, just came out with a new kit called Canyon at SOTB. It is perfect for those SW vacation pics and just nature pics in general. I had to get it and scrap some of the pics we got at Mesa Verde several years (almost 4- yikes!) ago. The kids look so small in these photos to me now; I was at the end of the first trimester of pregnancy with Brenna at the time we were on this vacation. You can get a free add-on (actually the freebie inspired the full kit) here. I've got so many more pics from this trip to scrap. A lot of them are prints, and I had always planned to paper scrap them because I wasn't digiscrapping at the time. So many projects, so little time!!

We are off to the library for our weekly visit to the library after the big kids get home from school today. They always look forward to reading to the dogs, so hopefully they will be there this week!

OH MY! I haven't been to Mesa Verde since I was a very little girl. Great layouts (all of them up to the Green Eggs & Ham, I'm running behind, LOL!)
